"Discontinued" option was added on Items & Matrix/Pivot for new UI

this would help us eliminate clutter.

If a product is not needed anymore & history is not needed. an item called DELETED may be created (as a non inventory item), & merge in any items into the item called deleted. 
On the order it will show DELETED on that item.
We may in the future add option in UI to do this automatically  if item already has sales.

Dev Team: when I search up an item either at checkout or in Bulk Edit, I don't want those items to come up. Is there a way to Archive them?
